Once again about “Thunderstorm” or “How to hear Ostrovsky”:
«What to do?» - the question that unities heroes of piece “Thunderstorm” by Ostrovsky. The question is for all times. The answer for this question one can find only within oneself. Time goes by. Ostrovsky worked in XIX century. Today the THEATRE where Ostrovsky earnestly played calling up compassion and spiritual experiences of the audience is DEAD. Ostrovsky exists but there is no theatre! That’s the reason for a name OPUS POSTH that refers to unknown times of changes, to a NEW TIME, space of new theatre and maybe to a new way of life. So let us start from the beginning!
Our «creation» OSTROVSKY. THUNDERSTORM. OPUS POSTH – is an attempt to research FREEDOM in its tragic dialectics. Hence, if FREEDOM is unnatural state of a man then FREEDOM is always a new spiritual birth, the opening. And that’s what our work is about. OPUS from Latin means work, labor, creating. We try, actually, to turn back to the sources and to start “to work”, putting together drop to drop old forgotten senses. We try to hear and to PERFORM in our own way this great work of Russian classic. Yung states: “There is no any salvation and reformation of the world that wouldn’t start from a man himself”. We ask ourselves this eternal tremendous question: “What to do?”
